1. Basic information
Alumina is a stable oxide of aluminum with the chemical formula AL203. It is also called bauxite in mining, ceramics and materials science.
2. Main ingredients
Alumina contains the elements aluminum and oxygen. If the raw material of bauxite is chemically treated to remove the oxides of silicon, iron, and titanium, the product is a high-purity alumina raw material, and the AL203 content is generally above 99%.
3. Applicable processes
Surface electroplating, painting, glazing and pretreatment before coating polytetrafluoroethylene; deburring and descaling of aluminum and alloy products, mold cleaning, pretreatment before metal sandblasting, dry grinding and wet grinding, precision optical refraction, grinding of minerals, metals, glass and crystals, glass engraving and paint additives.
4. Material characteristics
Alumina ceramics have low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, high insulation strength, high volume resistivity, good bending strength, high stability, high compressive strength, and good hot and cold shock resistance.
